Readers and supporters of civil rights-- Below is the link that will take you to the OGLPC voter guide for the November 2, 2010 general election. In a general election every registered voter gets the same ballot appropriate for their district and you are not restricted by party registration as to which candidates you choose. http://oglpc.org/collateral/OGLPC_VoterGuide_Nov2010.pdf Remember, you will NOT see all these candidates on YOUR individual ballot. And you may not see ANY of them in the voter guide at all IF that candidate choose to not respond to the OGLPC questionaire. The absence of a name is not necesarily good or bad. It can mean one of two things: 1) The candidate is plainly not supportive of equal rights for all citizens regardless of orientation or gender presentation, or 2) The candidate felt he/she had more to loose from having their support being made a target by their ballot opponent. The second option is a common strategy in electoral politics and why it's important for voters to do a little homework through the year and not wait until election time to choose a candidate. In addition to the elective offices there will be eleven state questions that cover a wide range of issues from voter indentification, to term limits, to English only, to Islamic law. OGLPC is not making any official recommendation as to vote yes or no on any of the questions. For your information we are offering these links to other editorials as a guide only.
